I spent today in a Ladies Learning Code course at the Red River College Roblin Campus, where I learned the basics of HTML & CSS. Learning some coding skills has been on my to-do list for quite some time, so having the opportunity to do so from a fantastic instructor and with the help of a few mentors (the classes boast a ratio of 4:1 students to mentors, which is amazing) was fantastic.
Today's kindness, then, was pretty simple - I sent a thank you email to the instructor and a FB message to the LLC Winnipeg Chapter as soon as I got home, just to let them know how much I enjoyed the class and appreciated the opportunity.
It's so easy to forget to say thank you sometimes, but I know that I really appreciate it when my efforts are acknowledged or I get feedback on a job well done. Crafting a quick thank you email or message doesn't take too long and it might just brighten someone's day (including your own). 10/10 do recommend!
