#365DaysOfKindness Days 53-59: Playing Catch Up

I have no idea where the week has gone, you guys. It's a good thing I kept a running list of kindnesses on a sticky note or there is no way I would have remembered what I did this week. Quick recap:

Day 53: Helped a friend with his cover letter.

Day 54: Donated food to the food bank at school

Days 55-59: Spent 30-60 minutes each day working on volunteer tasks. My routine these days usually involves getting up around 6-6:30 a.m. and spending a chunk of time on social media scheduling/content for my Inspire accounts. It's work that I really enjoy doing, which motivates me to get up, grab a cup of coffee, and take some "me" time in the morning before getting ready for the rest of my day.

Sometimes creating cheesy images to post on Facebook is one of the best parts of my day. No shame.

Sometimes I feel like I'm cheating by posting those volunteer projects as a kindness here because it's almost routine by now, but then I realize that the whole point of this project was the incorporate these sorts of activities into my day-to-day life. I don't know... maybe I'll try to shake it up a bit more next week and add some new activities.

Speaking of next week...I have a feeling these posts are going to become more of a weekly thing while I adjust to my new job/schedule/etc., which I'm pretty OK with. Saving up a few kindnesses to post all at once makes it easier for me to press pause on whatever else I'm doing to focus on this blog every so often and is a bit more fun for me. Besides, who wants to see five posts in a row that say "today I spent an hour volunteering" when I could just lump those days together in one post?

So that's where I'm at right now. Things in my life are moving right along and I'm doing my best to keep up. It's hectic and wonderful and I wouldn't change it for the world.

See you next week!
